An Elegant Sunset Elopement in Sacramento, California

2024 Trend Alert: COLOR, WHIMSEY and DISCO BALLS!!!

And I am here for it! I love that bright colors, bold floral choices and DISCO BALLS are trending this year. I mean it, as Julie Andrews once sang, “these are a few of my favorite things!” To be totally honest, the disco balls and burnt orange chair from this Elopement live in my office. LOL So it kind of feels like my personal style is having its moment! But that’s enough about me, let’s talk more about California Elopements and this GORGOUS couple.

I will never stop telling y’all how awesome California Elopements are! There is freedom in an elopement that you just don’t get to experience when planning a large wedding. Elopements allow for spontaneity, a more personal ceremony experience, no family drama and they are way more affordable! Y’all, weddingstats.org listed the average cost of a wedding in California at $31,000, with places like Santa Barbra hitting numbers closer to $47,000…AND, that is a lot to spend on a day that isn’t 100% about you and your partner. No matter how much you try, large wedding come with constraints. For example, you booked a venue you liked, now you are working on the next set of vendors. Most venues have some kind of restrictions on what vendors you can work with. Some might have a preferred vendor list with a little bit of wiggle room, while others have a required list you must pick from. They do this to protect their property, so, I guess it do understand! But ultimately, there is not a lot of room to really create the day that is uniquely you. Elopements on the other hand, let us play in the sunset, and let you spend money on the things that matter most to you and your partner. I am here to tell you this: you can have everything you wanted and more on your wedding day, without costing you a down payment on a home in this California real estate market! I can make it happen for you. You just have to Elope with me!

For this elopement we focused on bold floral choices, a dress of dreams, and a cake that was absolutely the best thing I have ever tasted! And Disco balls…we had to have disco balls!

Full disclosure, this floral design was defiantly an added cost. The arch design by Strelitzia was over the top, but exactly what the couple and I had in mind. So, they knew they were spending extra on the floral design. And they were totally in, because they weren’t feeding 100 plus people LOL.
