Follow this little style guide to help you find the perfect photoshoot outfit!
Dressing yourself in the morning is hard enough when you don’t have to stand in front of a camera and be your best self. Choosing what to wear for a photoshoot can trigger even the most confident, fashionista to pull their entire wardrobe out onto the floor in search of the perfect outfit.

The Wedding Guide, by me, Morgan Alanna!
Congratulations, you’ve decided to marry your person! And congratulations to me, too, because you’ve chosen me to join you for the ride. Words cannot describe how honored I am to be a part of your love story. I can’t wait to get to know you, to capture your wedding day, and to join you for a reception boogie.
There’s so much to think about between now and then, and I’m sure your heads are already spinning - making decisions about things you didn’t even realize existed. So, to make it a little easier, I’ve created this to help guide you through the whole process!

Your Photographer Should be Someone You Want as a Guest at Your Wedding!
You should get along with the person you pick to shoot your wedding, they should see your vision and match it with creative input that exceeds your wildest imagination. Are you wanting an elopement at the courthouse followed by an intimate dinner? Do you have 500 people at a vineyard in Napa? Are you not to sure, but you know you want photos? Is it a backyard soirée? Or a destination wedding? No matter the venue, the size of the wedding party, or the size of your budget you deserve beautiful photos capturing your individuality. Ultimately your photographer should be someone you want as a guest at your wedding!

Styled Disco and Drag Photoshoot!
Before really diving deep into this styled shoot and why it is so amazing, let’s start with a little bit about why I love Drag so freaking much. Drag is this space in the performing arts world where we can all collectively shed the realistic and embrace our inner fabulousness! We can be as big and loud as we want! We can take up space, unapologetically.
Maybe that’s why this shoot feels so perfect and exciting; it takes up space! The feminine is told repeatedly to be smaller and take up as little space in this world as possible. But this shoot takes up space! It is BIG, loud and proud! Just like all of Drag!

Portraiture as Art
My journey in photography has been a wild one. I was trying to find myself as a photographer, as I was trying to establish my photography business. I attempted to give clients everything they wanted and more, while still developing my personal style, and keeping my artistic photography in a separate box. What I started to see in this attempt to keep my artistic style separate from my client’s needs, was a feeling of monotony and sameness. I was essentially regurgitating Pinterest, booking volume and although I produced what I considered beautiful photos, they weren’t showcasing the rare beauty or individuality of each person in front of my lens.
And then, one day the light bulb really went off. Why can’t art and the business be one in the same?
