I would like to start off by acknowledging that maternity photography is for all humans growing life. Gender is not a factor. I am here to make you feel special in your magical, life creating body.
Now, let’s talk about documenting your pregnancy. It can feel really daunting to hop in front of a camera when your body is in a transitionary phase. But it can also be the most powerful shoot of your life. It’s an opportunity to see your body as you grow a new life. Proof you were the vessel to a new soul before it joined us earth side. Maternity photoshoots are your chance to shower yourself, your body and the life you are growing with love and admiration.
Our family has had 3 sessions with Morgan (maternity, new baby, & whole family) and I can say with absolute certainty that she will be with us for a lifetime. Mind you this is all coming from a self-proclaimed, “not a family photo person”.
Not only is she extraordinarily talented - you can see that for yourself in her photos - but she is warm, kind, and inspirational. She will pull photos out of you that you didn’t even think could happen, while simultaneously capturing the tender moments in between. She is a rarity and truly gifted at her craft.

What does a Maternity Session with me, Morgan Alanna, look like? We let our creativity take control. I love to create images that are both artistic, and meaningful. So, I usually start by asking you questions about your pregnancy, what you are looking forward to with parenthood and what the aesthetic is for the nursery and your home. Because it’s important to have your images match your living space if you want to print and display them.
This shoot was designed around the concept of an open floral field. However, it was in the middle of a Sacamento summer, aka 110 degrees and smokey. How did we get from an open field concept to the studio you ask? When my client, and mama-to-be said, “If you could make it a floral wonderland, but airconditioned, that would be the dream”, and I said, “Consider your dream a reality”!
The long and short of Maternity Photography, there is no right or wrong way to approach capturing your pregnancy. From studio work to open fields, beaches and mountains, we can make most anything happen. The best part of living in California is the diversity and natural wonders, but sometimes the heat and air quality just doesn’t want to cooperate! No matter the vision, I am here to help you capture your beautiful growing belly, and all the adventures it has in store for you!

This is one of my favorite services believe it or not! It starts with a maternity session around 35 weeks to capture that beautiful pregnancy glow. Then we wait! Once baby has arrived shoot me a message, and I will show up at the hospital or your home (whichever we have decided on) to document the newest little fingers and toes!

Pre-shoot consultation.
Two full, one hour photo sessions.
An average of 35 fully edited images per shoot.

In home Newborn Session - $550
These sessions are relaxed, full of cuddles and free from any pressure to look a certain way. You just had a baby, it’s okay of your house isn’t perfect. We will find nooks and crannies with beautiful light, that show your new family and all their love.
